Kweku Apreku Agyepong, a student of the University of Ghana has clinched a win in the public speaking category of the 2020 World Universities Debating Championship in Thailand. The level 300 student pursuing a Bachelor of Law degree, emerged winner of the championship after successfully defending the category at the tournament after Jeremiah Sekyi thrashed other contenders to be crowned winner in 2019. The event was held from December 26, 2019, to January 4, 2020, at the Assumption University of Thailand in Bangkok which saw over 400 teams from 250 universities and tertiary institutions participating. The World Universities Debating Championship (WUDC) is the world's largest debating tournament, and one of the largest annual international student events in the world.
